  • How old do you have to be to rent a car?

    The minimum age to hire a vehicle is 21, 21-25 incurs a £15 per day young driver surcharge. Other conditions also apply.

  • What is needed to rent a car?

    A full UK driving licence with at least 1 year’s experience, 2 proofs of address dated in the last 8 weeks i.e. Bank statement and utility bill plus driving licence. National Insurance number OR a licence check code which can be obtained from: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

  • Can I hire a car without an excess deposit?

    All vehicle hires are subject to an excess deposit.

  • What is a damage or loss waiver and how does it work?

    Our standard cars and vans come with a standard insurance excess of £1,000. Prestige cars, minibuses and trucks are £2,000. This effectively means you pay the first £1000 or £2000 of any damage or insurance claim that may occur.

  • What condition will my rental car be in when I pick it up?

    All our vehicles are professionally valeted and checked before the start of each hire. Vehicles leaving our Branches are checked to ensure that they are roadworthy.

  • Are there any add on (surprise) charges?

    The price we quote is the price you pay for a standard hire, there are add ons you can purchase if you wish i.e. additional drivers, excess reduction, sat navs etc

  • How much does it cost to rent a car?

    Our small cars start from £32 per day / £125 per week

  • Do I need insurance to rent a car?

    All prices quoted are based on the use of our insurance, for long term hires you can use your own insurance. Insurance arrangements and additional costs for our Prestige vehicles are available upon request.

  • What forms of payment do you accept in order to hire a car?

    We currently accept debit and credit cards

  • Can I return or pick-up a car after office hours?

    Unfortunately, this is not currently possible.

  • How much is the deposit on a car rental?

    Deposit amounts are vehicle dependant and start from £200 for standard cars and vans and from £500 for Prestige vehicles.

  • Can I be picked up and taken to my car rental from home?

    Unfortunately we do not offer this service.

  • Do hire cars have unlimited mileage?

    We offer a mileage allowance of 100 miles per day. Excess mileage charges apply thereafter. Mileage allowance and additional costs for our Prestige vehicles are available upon request.

  • What are your driver’s licence requirements for renting in the UK and Ireland?

    Drivers must have had a full UK licence for a minimum of 1 year and have no more than 6 points on their licence. Please contact us if you have had a disqualification in the last 10 years.

  • Can I add an additional driver to my car hire in the UK and Ireland?

    Yes, additional drivers can be added for a daily charge of £6

  • Do you offer one-way car hire in the UK and Ireland?

    We can do one way hires between our branches in Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes and Birmingham. There would be a one-way charge of £25

  • Will I be allowed to cross into bordering countries?

    This can be arranged for an additional charge to cover the breakdown and additional mileage, please phone us for more info

  • How do I change or cancel my reservation?

    Please contact your local branch

  • I want to return my car early; is there a penalty to do so?

    Vehicles can be returned early, and a refund will be given based on the numbers of days the car has been on hire for

  • Will there be an additional charge if I am late returning the rental vehicle?

    Our vehicles work on a 24-hour basis, if a vehicle is returned after this then there will be another day’s charge.

  • How can I get a copy of my receipt?

    A copy of your invoice will be sent to you by email at the end of your hire or every 28 days whichever comes first. To request a copy please email or phone your local branch.

  • What is the Congestion Charge in London?

    The congestion charge for London is £11.50 from 07.00 to 18.00 Mon to Fri Ultra-Low Emission charge may be applicable, please ask at time of booking.

  • Do your vehicles come with breakdown cover?

    All our vehicles come with fully comprehensive breakdown cover.
